In a previous post we noted that Bulls of August are a different team than the one we’ve been watching all year. The careful reader will notice that half of these players first put on a Bulls uniform in July late June - early August. Three of the six are experiencing their first time in AAA baseball. Unknowns for August include the long-term status of Reid Brignac (if he starts hitting, he’s on his way back to the Rays); what happens when one or both of the Rays’ catchers on the disabled list return; and how long Brandon Guyer will be on the disabled list.

To recap, a dozen of players on the current Durham Bulls roster first put on a Bulls uniform sometime after the 4th of July.
