- Flip Flop Fly Ball has a couple of stunning new charts. One looks at won-loss record vs. World Series performance and the other is the entire history of major league baseball in one chart! Terrific visualizations.
- Durham County congratulated the Bulls on their National Championship.
- The Bulls are having a party this Wednesday at the DBAP.
- A couple of well-done videos are up at the Bulls new YouTube page.
- Thanks to Doug Milhoan over at RaysProspects who has noticed several Rays players playing in the Venezuelan and Mexican Pacific Winter leagues. Bulls of note are Ray Olmedo, Joe Bateman, Jason Cromer, Calvin Medlock, Justin Ruggiano, Carlos Hernandez, Raynor Oliveros, and Jon Weber. Think I’ll have to find a way to chase down those guys.
- Marc Topkin in the St. Petersburg Times quotes the Rays’ Andrew Friedman as saying that it’s unrealistic to expect Desmond Jennings to play major league ball next year. Does that mean we get to keep him? And that Matt Joyce needs to have the mind set to “come in and win a job.”
- Durham Bulls stats for the year are at BaseballReference.com.
- RaysProspects has put up some summaries regarding the Bulls: Overall, hitting, and pitching.
