Tough break for Rashad, he played well and contributed. With Richard off and Rashad sent back, looks like Richard will be spending some time in the outfield.
ReplyDeleteDon't see why. 4 outfielders: Weber, Ruggiano, Joyce, Sadler. 6 infielders: Nowak, Richard, Hughes, Olmedo, Brignac, Mateo. At a guess, maybe Richard, Weber & Hughes rotating in dh slot.

ReplyDeleteRight. There are many options Montoyo could use. I just think keeping Hughes could help them out. They could throw a split in there one day like such: Joyce DH or RF, Richard DH or LF/RF and Hughes 1B or DH. Many options they could use. Against lefties, Joyce is posting a .224 clip, Richard a .229 clip and Hughes a .333 clip. So we may see something like this many games to come.
